| | SAWRT Media League Finals | |
Wednesday, August 5th was a championship night for the Sacramento Media Softball League, with the inaugural Media League All-Star game and the 2009 Championship final. The All-Star game pitted the Network Television (National League) pros against all-stars from Print/Radio/Cable (American League), in a close game that resulted in an 8-7 victory for the American League.
Following the game was the 2009 Championship Final with the Sacramento "Killer" Bees against the KVIE "SuperNOVA's." In another nail-biting game, the SuperNOVA's ended the Bee's 4-year winning streak with an 18-6 victory.
The Sacramento American Women in Radio and Television were on hand to rally the teams with cold drinks and snacks, as they have done the Opening and Final days of the Media League for the past several years. As always, the SAWRT supports our local media community, on and off the field! See you next year!
